Retail Insight

In this report we capture some of the facinating insight discovered in our most recent Retail Walk.

What is influencing the way consumers shop? We look into the thinking behind how brands are continuing to innovate in the physical retail landscape, along with the cultural moments which help shape a customer’s mindset.

The EE Studio, Westfield White City, London is a 4,230-square-foot showcase space that serves as a hub for the local community to work, learn and play. The launch of its flagship forms part of EE’s new retail strategy, which seeks to reinvent the role of retail in the telco industry, putting innovation, personal experience and community front and centre.

The Studio space showcases a host of ‘experience zones’ and ‘room sets’ with each area carefully curated to demonstrate how cutting-edge technology and connectivity is enhancing everyday life – allowing customers to get a taste of future living, from gaming and relaxing, to working and cooking.

Fortnum & Mason: A Playground of Delicious Discovery

How does a 300-year-old retailer stay fresh and relevant while engaging new global consumers? They open a new Food and Drink Studio that takes experiential retailing to new heights while investing in live streaming technologies that give non-London-based consumers access to the store, no matter where they are in the world.

“Ever since William Fortnum met Hugh Mason and started a business, Fortnum & Mason have been in search of extraordinary new food and drink experiences, so it seems only natural to create a home dedicated to this search.”
