NRF 2023: How to build authentic trust and loyalty at point of sale

Uniting the best of retail under one roof, The National Retail Federation’s Big Show took place this week in NYC, connecting thought leaders and innovators throughout the industry to help define the future of retail. With the theme for this year’s show being ‘Break Through’ we took a look at the best the show had to offer, hunting down the most exciting innovation, inspiration and some clever thinking.

Earning trust and growing shopper loyalty was a hotly discussed topic throughout key speakers and within our own conversations at the show.

Reviews and ratings are a great way to assure shoppers at point of purchase, helping to build a trusted voice- but delivering with authenticity is key.

One technology which really stood out to us was Ekoo, an audio business platform which allows customers to leave product reviews and experiences as voice notes.

It’s technology really caught our eye as a method of authentically delivering consumer feedback, especially when combined with point of sale display. Shoppers scan the QR code on the display to hear voice testimonials, reassuring other shoppers and delivering information in a more convenient and personable way than written reviews.
