The creative direction, designed by Giorgio Armani, is an eye-catching blend of blue summer sky, tonal palm leaf silhouettes and wooden finishes, creating a serene environment that immediately transports shoppers to a summer paradise. The bright LED backlighting adds a vibrant glow and keeps the focus on the brand, attracting shoppers and ensuring it is impossible to miss.
The Armani Mare campaign has been activated across 5 key spaces throughout the airport, giving the brand high impact and visibility to the millions of travellers passing through its vast GTR space. This strategic move makes the brand impossible to miss, with the approach to the design very much centred on social media shareability. One of the standout features of the activation is the central canopy with a photo selfie machine, which has become a hub of activity. Travellers can take a picture with the Armani logo backdrop and choose to email the images to themselves, share with friends and family, or take home a physical copy using the built-in Polaroid printer. This feature not only provides a fun and engaging experience but also serves as a lasting souvenir of their visit.
Another highlight is the Armani-inspired ‘Life Ring’. This element adds a nautical touch also serving as a playful photo prop. The life ring, with its sleek design and prominent branding, is a nod to summer adventures and seaside escapes, resonating with the spirit of the season.
Each display design was created as a bespoke interpretation, depending on its positioning within the space. Larger zones feature a makeup counter equipped with a summer-themed chair, inviting travellers to take a moment to refresh their look. This interactive element offers a touch of luxury and self-care, making the travel experience more enjoyable. The makeup counter is complemented by expert staff who are on hand to provide beauty tips and product recommendations, ensuring that visitors leave looking and feeling their best.
