Tony's Chocolonely Case Study

Tony’s Chocolonely is undoubtedly one of our most unique clients, a purpose led company built on a mission towards making the chocolate industry 100% slave free. Tony’s are driven by inspiring consumers to act.
With Valley’s principle that service is key, we helped a small team based in the UK to deliver their message through influential promotions in-store, on a national scale. The team were finding the route to market challenging, but with Valley’s support in providing on time and cost-effective solutions, we ensured compliance and delivered a stand out performance. Sainsbury’s Future Brand team acknowledged that Valley created “Exactly the type of execution and shipper we had hoped for” achieving a 507% sales uplift in a 3-week concept to delivery timescale.

Valley supported in the launch of Tony’s market disrupting Sweet Solution ‘look-alike’ chocolate bars which gained wide press coverage and PR for the brand. Designed to mimic Twix, Toblerone, Kit Kat and Ferrero Rocher, the brand caused a stir in the market whilst drawing attention to illegal labour in the chocolate industry.

“John and the team at Valley have made the entire process of executing shippers in our biggest retailers an absolute joy. Valley are able to design and optimise units with amazing speed and helps us ensure they are as cost-efficient as possible without compromising on design. We wouldn’t have had as many opportunities to drive off-shelf trial for Tony’s Chocolonely if it wasn’t for this partnership.”
